Throughout 2020 and 2021, COVID Straight Talk Lab met with workers to learn what resources they needed—then partnered with researchers, scientists, and designers to make those resources a reality.

COVID Risk Chart
August 2021
We designed this chart in partnership with Dr. Trisha Greenhalgh, Prof. of Primary Care at the University of Oxford. This chart provides a framework for estimating the relative transmission risk associated with different activities under various conditions.

Know Your Air Poster

The air you breathe affects your risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19, but how can you tell how safe your air is? To answer that tough question, we collaborated with Dr. Kevin Van Den Wymelenberg, an air safety expert at the University of Oregon on this quick and easy infographic that will help you to know your Air and assess how safe your surroundings are.

To address questions, anxieties, and logistical confusion that can be barriers to Covid-19 vaccination, we created a free, customizable flyer that any organization can use as a tool to help increase vaccination rates in underserved communities.

M.A.D. Guidelines and the “Hierarchy of Controls”

This is a quick reference for employers that shows how our M.A.D. (Masks, Air, and Distance) Guidelines correlate to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) “Hierarchy of Controls.” Employers can use these guidelines to address workplace safety measures with workers, management, and HVAC professionals, as well as to understand the level at which safety measures are best addressed and implemented.

Worker Safety Survey

We designed this survey to help Essential Workers identify interventions they could take to improve their COVID safety. There is no one-size fits all solution to keeping workers safe.
